PM to wed on Saturday！首相再婚！
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will marry Jeanne Abdullah this Saturday.The simple wedding will be held at Seri Perdana and attended by close family members only.
Excerpts from the prime minister’s press conference:
Q: When did you first meet your future wife?
A: I’ve known her a long time as she is Endon’s (late wife’s) sister- in-law.
Q: Why did it take you so long to announce because before this, you said it was just a rumour?
A: All the dates mentioned were wrong… that’s why I said it was just a rumour. It took some time. I needed to consult my children and had to find the time as I was too busy going here and there.
Q: Do you plan to go on a holiday after your wedding?
A: There’s no plans yet… there’s an official trip abroad… I will be bringing (Jeanne) along… what’s the use of having a companion if you don’t bring her along… that too (the press) want to ask?
Q: Have you ordered the wedding ring?
A: Yes… it’s already late now.
Q: What do you call her? Darling, sayang? (Laughter from the floor).
A: You will all know what I call her after the marriage.
Q: What is Datuk Seri’s hope from the people?
A: I hope they will pray for our happiness because a happier prime minister can do a lot of good work (laughter and applause from the floor).
Q: Will your life be more meaningful?
A: How can it not be meaningful? What kind of question is that? More meaningful…. yes, more meaningful.

Stefanie Sun YanZi, a famous Singapore female singer, went to Aeon Jusco Tebrau City, JB last Saturday (2nd June 2007), to promote her latest album “Against the Light”.
At the shopping mall, thousands of fans turn up to see their idol in action. They included fans from Singapore, Taiwan and other places in Malaysia. Stefanie Sun sang 5 songs in the mini concert. She also danced and persented “GujiGuji”, her latest song from her album “Against the Light”. “This is the first time I have come to JB to meet my fans, I hope I can come here again,” said Stefanie to the applause and cheers of her excited fans.

Charity event at 27 May
Southern College organised a Charity Run recently. The event was a join project by the SC Development Committe, Johor Bahru Chinese Association and Tiong Hua Organization. More than 200 people participated, including student and parents of all races.
The objective of this run was to raise funds for the college building project, namely the new multi-purpose hall. A total of RM150,000 was raised from this project. The chairman of Board of Directors, Datuk Teo Ah Khiang said the college was still short of RM50,000 to reach the target of RM200,000 from the run. He hope companies and individuals will contribute generously to complete the hall project.

Shooting: NSAM prepared to defend shooters

Father: I didn’t force my daughter to lodge rape report
SHAH ALAM: The father of a 17-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped by an Indonesian farmer, claimed he never forced his daughter to lodge a police report.
Contrary to evidence given by his daughter on Monday, the 47-year-old policeman claimed she had willingly done so.
During the last hearing, the girl told the Sessions Court that she was in love with the accused, Munawar Haris, 31.
She refused to testify against him and alleged that it was her father who objected to the relationship.

我们应该可怜还是抵制 Jln.AhFook（阿福街）的妓女？
Jln.AhFook（阿福街）是个红灯区，意即是卖淫的地方。但那却不是个合法的地区，不像新加坡的Geylang，那是新加坡政府所合法的。你认为马来西亚的政府应该将Jln.AhFook（阿福街）的卖淫活动合法化吗？
